The US took the Presidents Cup for a sixth time, with Tiger Woods holing the winning putt.

Tiger Woods' win against South Korean Yang Yong-eun gave the US the decisive point. Woods said that he had not realized that his point had made the win for the US Team. All he knew, he said later, was that he was trying to get his point, he just kept his head down to extend his own lead.

Overall the US won by 19.5 - 14.5 against the International Team.

Woods put in a fine performance, winning all his five matches.
